When using ladders in a professional context, always assess the risks involved taking

into account the legal regulations in the country of use before use of the ladder.

Beware of the risk of collision with e.g. pedestrians, vehicles or doors when

setting up the ladder. Lock doors (with the exception of emergency exits) and win

dows near the ladder.

Take note of all of the hazards posed by electrical equipment, e.g. overhead power

lines or other exposed electrical equipment, within the work area.

Do not use conductive ladders for work on live equipment or near overhead power

lines (e.g. aluminium ladders).
