en Congratulations on the purchase of your new BOSCH appliance In doing so you have opted for a modern high quality domestic appliance You can find further information about our products on our web page This appliance is designed for processing normal household quantities in the home or similar quantities in non industrial applications Non industrial applications include e g use in employee kitchens in shops offices agri cultural and other commercial businesses as well as use by guests in boarding houses small hotels and similar dwellings Use the appliance for processing normal quantities of food for domestic use Please keep the Instructions for Use in a safe place If passing on the appliance to a third party always include the operating instructions Overview Please fold out the illustrated pages 1 Base unit 2 ON button The hand blender remains switched on as long as the ON button is pressed 3 Blender foot Attach the blender foot and lock into position some models 11 4 Universal cutter separate operating instructions If the universal cutter is not included with the hand blender it can be ordered from customer sen ice order no 640698 or 640686 Safety Information Risk of injury Electric shock risk Connect and operate the appliance only in accordance with the specifications on the rating plate Do not use if the cord or appliance is damaged Keep children away from the appliance Supen ise children to prevent them from playing with the appliance Do not allow persons also children with restric ted physical sensory perception or mental abilities or with lack of experience and know ledge to operate the appliance unless they are 4 supervised or have been instructed in the use of the appliance by somebody who is responsible for their safety Always pull out the mains plug after using the appliance before cleaning the appliance before leaving the room or if a fault occurs Do not place the power cord over sharp edges or hot surfaces To prevent injury a damaged power cord must be replaced by the manufacturer or his customer sen ice or a similarly qualified person Only our customer service may repair the appliance Do not use the hand blender with damp hands and do not operate it at no load Operate the hand blender with original acces sories only Caution when processing hot liquids Liquids may splash during processing Do not immerse the appliance in liquid above the blender foot base unit connection point Risk of injury from sharp blades rotating drive Never grip the blade on the blender foot Never clean the blender blade with just your hands Use a brush Important Do not attach or remove the blender foot until the appliance is at a standstill Operating the appliance For blending mayonnaise sauces drinks baby food and for cutting onions ice cooked fruit and vegetables For pureeing soups X The hand blender is not suitable for preparing mashed potatoes Completely unwind the power cord Place the blender foot 3 on the base unit 1 and rotate in an anti clockwise direction Insert the mai ns pl ug Place food in a plastic jug Firmly hold the hand blender and jug To prevent the ingredients from splashing do not press the ON button 2 until the blender foot has been immersed in the ingredients j Always switch off the hand blender before taking it out of the processed food Tip To chop up ice place 2 3 ice cubes in a plastic jug hold the hand blender in the jug switch on and then press onto the ice cubes Robert Bosch Hausgeräte GmbH
