WERKEN MET DE SPOEL
Vereist materiaal
■ Spoelhuis en spoelhuisdeksel
a Spoelhuis (grijs)
Er zit een inkeping op de plek die is gemarkeerd met
“A”.
b Spoelhuisdeksel
Op de achterkant van het spoelhuisdeksel bevinden
zich ribbels “B”.
Deze drukken op de spoel, zodat deze niet omhoog
komt wanneer dikke draad wordt afgerold.
■ Onderdraad
We raden u de volgende soorten draad aan voor het
werken met de spoel.
* Als u lint gebruikt, raden wij u aan geen draadspanning te
gebruiken. Zie pagina 42 voor meer gedetailleerde instructies.
■ Bovendraad
Machineborduurgaren (polyestergaren) of
monofilament garen (doorzichtig nylondraad).
Als u niet wilt dat de bovendraad zichtbaar is, raden we
aan monofilament-draad of lichtgewicht polyester
draad (50wt. of hoger) van dezelfde kleur als de
onderdraad te gebruiken.
■ Naald
Gebruik een naald die geschikt is voor de bovendraad
en stof die u gebruikt. Raadpleeg “Overzichtsschema
stoffen/draad/naald” (in het hoofdstuk “NAALD
VERWISSELEN”) in de Bedieningshandleiding.
■ Persvoet
Naaisteken of decoratieve steken: monogramvoet “N”
Naaien uit de vrije hand: vrije quiltvoet “C”, vrije open
quiltvoet “O” of vrije echoquiltvoet “E”
■ Stof
Naai altijd enkele steken op een proeflapje met
dezelfde draad en stof als u voor het echte werk
gebruikt.
Borduurdraad of decoratieve draad
nr. 5 of fijner
Flexibel geweven lint
Fijn borduurlint (zijde of
zijdeachtig materiaal) (3,5 mm (ca.
1/8 inch) of minder aanbevolen)
Opmerking
• Gebruik geen zwaardere draad dan borduurdraad
nr. 5.
• Bepaalde soorten draad zijn mogelijk niet geschikt
voor het werken met de spoel. Naai daarom altijd
enkele steken op een proeflapje voordat u met het
echte werk begint.
Opmerking
• De naairesultaten kunnen worden beïnvloed door
het soort stof dat u gebruikt. Naai altijd eerst enkele
steken op een proeflapje van de stof die u ook voor
het echte werk gebruikt.
