CHAPTER 4 POWER UNIT Throttle link Throttle rod Cable bracket Throttle drum Throttle cable A lower Throttle cable B upper Link drum Throttle lever Screw Proceed to adjustment in the following order 1 Remove the throttle rod and leave it as removed 2 MF and EF types Turn the throttle grip all the way to throw the throttle full open EP type Turn the remote control lever all the way to throw the throttle full open 3 Adjust the throttle cable length so that the throttle drum contacts the full open stopper of the cable bracket MF and EF types Adjust the length of the throttle cable A lower EP type Adjust the cable length by the cable joint in the throttle side 4 MF and EF types Adjust the upper so length that of the the throttle inner cable cable gets B loose slightly as the throttle grip is turned all the way 5 Hook the ring of the throttle rod on the throttle drum and insert the other end straight shaped into the link drum of the carburetor 6 Turn the throttle lever all the way to get the carburetor full open and fix the throttle rod with the screw of the link drum 7 After the above mentioned adjustment make sure that the throttle lever smoothly works between idling and full open positions 57
