4. Measure cylinder head journal inner diameter e and oil
pump journal inner diameter f. Obtain oil clearances. They
are calculated as e c and f d respectively. Replace
cam shaft, cylinder head or oil pump if either of the
clearances is over specified value.

15) Inspection of Cam Shaft
1. Measure cam height. Replace if the height is less than
specified value.

15.97 mm ( 0.6287 in )
Cylinder Head Journal Inner Diameter e (Upper) :
18.010 to 18.025 mm ( 0.7091 to 0.7096 in )
Pulley Side Bearing Outer Diameter c :
17.95 mm ( 0.7067 in )
Oil Pump Side Bearing Outer Diameter d :
15.95 mm ( 0.6280 in )
2. Measure cam shaft runout. Replace if the runout is over
specified value.
Cam Shaft Runout Limit :
0.05mm ( 0.0020 in )
3. Measure cam shaft journal outer diameters c and d.
Replace cam shaft or cylinder head if either of the diameters
is less than specified value.

If oil clearance is over functional limit, replace
any of cylinder head, cam shaft and oil pump or
all of them as a set, and check that the
clearance is within specified range.
