Waarschuwing
Verkeerd gebruik of onjuist behandelen van de batterij kan leiden tot oververhitting, lekken van vloeistof of een explosie. Doe het volgende om mogelijk letsel te
voorkomen:

Open, demonteer of repareer een batterij niet.

adviseren om de batterijen elke drie maanden op te laten om overladen te voorkomen.
●

M.10 Instructies om redelijkerwijs voorzienbaar misbruik te voorkomen
Een in de apparatuur ingebouwde batterij en een batterij samen met de bijbehorende onderdelen (inclusief cellen en elektrische stroomgeneratoren) moeten zo zijn
geconstrueerd dat het onwaarschijnlijk is dat een elektrische schok of brandbeveiliging optreedt (bijvoorbeeld lekkage van ontvlambare chemicaliën die brand of schade
aan de isolatie veroorzaakt), rekening houdend met alle redelijkerwijs te verwachten omstandigheden. Dit omvat, indien van toepassing, extreme omstandigheden zoals
gespecificeerd door de fabrikant, zoals:
- extreem hoge of lage temperaturen waaraan een batterij kan worden blootgesteld tijdens het gebruik, opslag of transport; en
- lage luchtdruk op grote hoogte.
Wanneer het aanbrengen van veiligheidsvoorzieningen of ontwerp in een batterij of uitrusting redelijkerwijs niet praktisch is gezien de functionele aard van de batterij
of de uitrusting die een batterij bevat, moeten instructieve maatregelen worden genomen in overeenstemming met clausule F.5 om de batterij te beschermen tegen
extreme omstandigheden of misbruik door de gebruiker. Voorbeelden die o.a. in overweging moeten worden genomen, zijn:
- vervangen van een batterij met een verkeerd type dat een beveiliging kan omzeilen (bijvoorbeeld, in het geval van bepaalde lithium batterij types);
- het weggooien van een batterij in vuur of een hete oven, of het mechanisch verpletteren of doorzagen van een batterij, dat kan leiden tot een explosie;
- de batterij achterlaten in een extreem warme omgeving dat kan leiden tot een explosie of het lekken van ontvlambare vloeistof of gas;
- een batterij die wordt blootgesteld aan extreem lage luchtdruk dat kan leiden tot een explosie of het lekken van ontvlambare vloeistof of gas.
Naleving wordt gecontroleerd door inspectie, door het evalueren van de beschikbare gegevens verstrekt door de fabrikant, en, indien nodig, door te testen onder
abnormale bedrijfsomstandigheden volgens B.3.6, rekening houdend met alle mogelijke installatie-, transport- en gebruiksomstandigheden.
