The ladder has to be set up in the correct position, e.g. at the correct angle for lea-

ning ladders (at an angle of 65 to 75 degrees) and ensuring that the rungs or steps

are horizontal.

Leaning ladders with steps must be set up in such a way that the steps are

horizontal.
