Only use saw blades which have a maximum permitted
speed that is higher than the no-load speed of the power
tool.
Only use saw blades that match the specifications given in
this operating manual and that have been tested and marked
in accordance with EN847-1.
Only use saw blades that are recommended by the power
tool manufacturer and are suitable for use on the material
you want to saw. This will prevent the saw teeth from over-
heating when sawing.
Removing the saw blade
– Bring the power tool into the work position.
– Turn the hex socket screw (43) using the hex key (38)
while pressing the spindle lock (37) until it engages.
– Press and hold the spindle lock (37) and loosen the
screw (43) by turning it clockwise (left-hand thread).
– Remove the clamping flange (44).
– Push the lever (3) and swivel the retracting blade guard
(5) back as far as it will go.
– Hold the retracting blade guard in this position and re-
move the saw blade (26).
– Slowly push the retracting blade guard back down.
Fitting the saw blade
If required, clean all the parts you want to fit before installing
them.
– Push the lever (3), swivel the retracting blade guard (5)
back as far as it will go and hold it in this position.
– Place the new saw blade onto the interior clamping flange
(45).
u When fitting the saw blade, make sure that the cutting
direction of the teeth (arrow direction on the saw
blade) matches the direction of the arrow on the pro-
tective guard.
– Slowly push the retracting blade guard back down.
– Put on the clamping flange (44) and the screw (43).
Press the spindle lock (37) until it engages and tighten
the screw by turning it anticlockwise.
Operation
u Pull the plug out of the socket before carrying out any
work on the power tool.
Transport safety lock (see figure H)
The transport safety lock (35) makes it easier to handle the
power tool when transporting it to various working locations.
Unlocking the power tool (work position)
– Press the tool arm down slightly by the handle (1) to re-
lease the transport safety lock (35).
– Pull the transport safety lock (35) all the way out.
– Slowly guide the tool arm upwards.
Locking the power tool (transport position)
– Release the locking lever (32) if it is clamping the slide
device (31) in place. Pull the tool arm fully forwards and
press the locking lever backwards again to lock the slide
device.
– Screw the adjusting screw (24) all the way upwards.
– To lock the saw table (8) in place, tighten the locking
knob (11).
– Push the lever (3) and swivel the tool arm downwards by
the handle (1) at the same time until you can press the
transport safety lock (35) all the way in.
The tool arm is now securely locked and ready for transport-
ation.
Clamping the workpiece (see figure I)
To ensure maximum safety while working, the workpiece
must always be firmly clamped.
Do not saw workpieces that are too small to clamp firmly.
– Press the workpiece firmly against the fences (18) and
(7).
– Insert the supplied screw clamp (19) into one of the holes
(33) intended for this purpose.
– Loosen the wing bolt (46) and adjust the screw clamp to
the workpiece. Tighten the wing bolt again.
– Firmly clamp the workpiece by turning the threaded rod
(47).
Releasing the workpiece
To loosen the screw clamp, turn the threaded rod (47) anti-
clockwise.
Extending the saw table (see figure J)
The flexible saw table extension connector system (48) en-
ables a multitude of extension variations.
– Insert the flexible saw table extensions (48) into the
openings (36) on the power tool or into the openings
(49) of the stationary saw table extensions as required.
Adjusting the mitre/bevel angle
u Do not press the on/off switch (27) while adjusting
the mitre/bevel angle. If the power tool is accidentally
switched on as a result of this, injury can occur.
Adjusting mitre angles (see figure K)
The mitre angle can be set between 48° (left side) and 48°
(right side).
– Loosen the locking knob (11) if it is tightened.
– Turn the saw table (8) left or right by the locking knob un-
til the angle indicator (13) shows the required mitre
angle.
– Retighten the locking knob (11).
For quick and precise setting of commonly used mitre
angles, detents (14) are provided on the saw table:
Leftward Rightward
0°
45°; 30°; 22.5°; 15° 15°; 22.5°; 30°; 45°
Adjusting bevel angles (see figure L1L2)
The bevel angle can be set between 0° and 45°.
