u When clearing jammed material or servicing the unit,

make sure all power switches are off and the battery

pack is removed or disconnected. Unexpected actu-

ation of the hedge trimmer while clearing jammed mater-

ial or servicing may result in serious personal injury.

u Hold the hedge trimmer by insulated gripping sur-

faces only, because the blade may contact hidden wir-

ing. Blades contacting a "live" wire may make exposed

metal parts of the hedge trimmer "live" and could give the

operator an electric shock.

u Keep all power cords and cables away from cutting

area. Power cords or cables may be hidden in hedges or

bushes and can be accidentally cut by the blade.

u Do not use the hedge trimmer in bad weather condi-

tions, especially when there is a risk of lightning. This

decreases the risk of being struck by lightning.

u Only switch on the motor when your

hands and feet are away from the

blade.

u Take care against injury to feet and

hands from the cutting means.

u Do not touch or insert conductive

objects (such as screwdrivers or sim-

ilar) into the micro USB port.

u The product contains a battery

that is non-replaceable.

u Never allow children, persons with

physical, sensory or mental limita-

tions or a lack of experience and/or

knowledge and/or people unfamiliar

with these instructions to use the

battery charger. Local regulations

may restrict the age of the operator.

u Supervise children at all times.

This will ensure that children do not

play with the battery charger.

u Keep the battery charger away from rain or moisture.

Penetration of water in the battery charger increases the

risk of an electric shock.

u Keep the charger clean. Contamination can lead to

danger of an electric shock.

u Before each use check the battery charger and USB

cable. If damage is detected, do not use the battery

charger. Never open the battery charger yourself. All

repairs must be performed by a Bosch Service Centre.
