Safety, performance, and dependability have been given
top priority in the design of your planer.
INTENDED USE
The planer is only intended for planing wood (removing
an even layer to provide a smooth, À at ¿ nish) and rebating
wood.
The product is not intended to be used for stationary
planing.
WARNING
Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure
to follow the warnings and instructions may result in
electric shock, ¿ re and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
PLANER SAFETY WARNINGS
Ŷ Wait for the cutter to stop before setting the tool
down. An exposed rotating cutter may engage the
surface, leading to possible loss of control and serious
injury.
Ŷ Use clamps or another practical way to secure and
support the workpiece to a stable platform. Holding
the work by your hand or against the body leaves it
unstable and may lead to loss of control.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES
Ŷ Hold the tool by insulated gripping surfaces only.
Cutting a “live” wire may make the exposed metal parts
of the tool “live” and could give the operator an electric
shock.
Ŷ The dust produced when using this tool may be harmful
to health. Do not inhale the dust. Use a dust absorption
system and wear a suitable dust protection mask.
Remove deposited dust thoroughly, e.g., with a vacuum
cleaner.
Ŷ Do not remove splinters or saw dust while tool is
running.
Ŷ Only plane with sharp blades, avoid metals (nails,
screws). Check the workpiece before planing.
Ŷ Do not reach into the danger area of the tool when
plugged in.
Ŷ Place the front plate of the machine on to the workpiece
and switch on, before the planer blade touches the
workpiece and then guide evenly over the workpiece.
Ŷ The v-shape notch in the front of the supporting plate
ensures safe chamfering of edges.
Note: The self opening swivel guard should be lifted only
by the workpiece or with the lever.
Note: Do not reach into the dust port with your ¿ ngers.
They could be injured by the rotating blades.
Ŷ Stop the product, make sure that the blade comes to a
complete stop and remove the battery before:
Ɣ Cleaning a blockage or unclogging
Ɣ Checking, cleaning or working on the product
ADDITIONAL BATTERY SAFETY WARNINGS
WARNING
To reduce the risk of ¿ re, personal injury, and product
damage due to a short circuit, never immerse your
tool, battery pack or charger in À uid or allow a À uid to
À ow inside them. Corrosive or conductive À uids, such
as seawater, certain industrial chemicals, and bleach
or bleach-containing products, etc., can cause a short
circuit.
TRANSPORTING LITHIUM BATTERIES
Transport the battery in accordance with local and national
provisions and regulations.
Follow all special requirements on packaging and labelling
when transporting batteries by a third party. Ensure that
no batteries can come in contact with other batteries
or conductive materials while in transport by protecting
exposed connectors with insulating, non-conductive caps
or tape. Do not transport batteries that are cracked or
leaking. Check with the forwarding company for further
advice.

USING THE DUST PORT
Using a vacuum cleaner
Connect the dust port to a dust extraction system to ensure
optimum extraction.
A vacuum adaptor can be attached to either side of the
dust port.
Ŷ Connect the vacuum adaptor to a vacuum cleaner.
Ŷ Use a vacuum cleaner which is suitable for the material
being worked.
Ŷ Use a special vacuum cleaner when vacuuming dry
dust which is detrimental to health or carcinogenic.
