ENGLISH Injection FHB II - A L · FHB II - A S
A
Drilling the drill hole
1. Drill the drill hole using a hammer drill. Observe specified drilling hole diameter and drilling depth
according to table 3.
2. Thoroughly clean the drill hole. Starting from the surface of the drill hole, blow the drill hole clear twice,
brush the hole twice, and then blow the hole clear twice. See table 3 for brush size. Sizes M20 and larger
must be blown clean using compressed air.
B
Preparing injection cartridge
Remove the cap and attach the static mixer.
Important: The spiral mixer in the static mixer must be clearly visible; never use the spiral mixer without a static mixer !
Insert the cartridge into the fischer application gun and apply the mortar until the grey mortar exits (squeeze
the application gun lever approx. 2 times).
Important: non-grey mortar does not set and must be discarded !
C I
Pre-positioned installation with injection cartridge
FHB II - A S and FHB II - A L anchor rods
Drill and clean the drill hole as described under
A
.
3. Injecting the mortar.
(Prepare the cartridge as described under
B
). Starting at the drill hole surface, fill the
FIS HB injection mortar into the drill hole one stroke at a time. Fill quantity is approx. 2/3 of the drill hole depth, see
table 3 (scale divisions). If drilling depths are greater than 170 mm, use an extension (e.g. FIS extension hose).
4. Installing anchor rods. Immediately after injecting the mortar, insert the FHB II anchor rod by hand using
light turning motions until it reaches the setting depth marking. (Setting depth marking must be aligned with
the concrete surface). When installing size M16 anchor rods and greater overhead, we recommend using
installation wedges depending on the application. Excess mortar must exit the drill hole until it makes contact
with the concrete surface ! If this is not the case, the anchor rod must be immediately removed and mortar
must be injected in the drill hole again. Visible inspection !
5. Hardening times. Observe the hardening times of the injection mortar (see table 1). Attaching the installa
-
tion wedges. Check that the installation is secure by applying the torque tinst specified in table 3.
C II
Push-through installation with injection cartridge
FHB II - A S and FHB II - A L anchor rods
With FHB II - AL anchor rods, the drill hole in the object to be mounted must also be filled with injection
mortar. Drill and clean the drill hole as described under
A
.
3. Mortar injection as described under
C I
point 3.
4. Installing anchor rods. Immediately after injecting the mortar, insert the FHB II anchor rod by hand using
light turning motions until it reaches the setting depth marking. (Setting depth marking must be aligned with
the concrete surface). Observe the thickness of the object to be attached. Excess mortar must exit the drill
hole until it makes contact with the concrete surface ! If this is not the case, the anchor rod must be immedia-
tely removed and mortar must be injected in the drill hole again. Visible inspection !
When installing anchor rods overhead, we recommend using installation wedges depending on the application.
5. Hardening times. Observe the hardening times of the injection mortar (see table 1). Attaching the installa
-
tion wedges. Check that the installation is secure by applying the torque T
inst
specified in table 3.
IMPORTANT:
If the concrete is wet, the
hardening times must be
doubled !
Remove any standing water
from the drill hole !
