The kit includes: transmitter, receiver, 4 remote units, wire with alligator clips, BNC-RJ11 adapter cable, RJ45 patch cord, RJ11 patch cord,

telephone adapter (RJ11 module), earbuds, microUSB cable, DC adapter, carry bag, user manual, and warranty.

Getting started

Press and hold the Power button (5) for 3 seconds to turn the transmitter on/o. Shi the three-position switch (6) to the lower position

(SCAN) to turn the receiver on. Shi the three-position switch (6) to the middle position (OFF) to turn the receiver o. Shi the three-

position switch (6) to the upper position (LAMP) to turn on the ashlight on the receiver. Press the OK button (8) to enter the menu, press

RIGHT/DOWN (9) button and LEFT/UP (6) button to scroll the menu. Press the OK button (8) to conrm the selection.

Charging the device

The transmitter and the receiver use rechargeable lithium batteries. Connect the microUSB cable to the device and the DC adapter via

a USB plug and connect it to the AC power supply to charge the device.

Wire mapping

This function is used to check if the wires within the cable are connected correctly.

To test the network cable,

• plug one end of the cable into the RJ45 MAIN port (3) on the transmitter and the other end into the RJ45 port (8) on the receiver; or

• plug one end of the cable into the RJ45 MAIN port (3) on the transmitter and the other end into the RJ45 port (2) on the remote unit.

To test the coaxial cable, plug one end of the cable to the BNC connector (1) on the transmitter and plug the other end to the BNC connector

(1) on the remote unit.

1. Select CONT (Wire mapping) in the main menu and press the OK button (8).

2. Choose the required cable type (CAT5, CAT6, or BNC).

3. Select CONT mode (Wire mapping mode).

4. Select the 1 to 1 mode (if you use the transmitter and the receiver); or

Select the 1 to 4 mode (if you use the transmitter and a remote unit). Select Start (Start) and then press the OK button (8).

Possible outcomes are shown below:

Normal Short

Open Cross

Split (crossover pins will icker on the display) Disconnected or not connected well

Cable length measurement

This function is used to measure the length of a cable.

Calibration

1. Plug one end of the testing cable (min. 10m) with a known length into a corresponding port on the transmitter (RJ45 MAIN port for

a network cable, BNC connector for a coaxial cable) and leave the other cable end disconnected. To connect a telephone cable, use the

telephone adapter (included).

2. Select Length (Length) in the main menu and press the OK button (8).

3. Choose the required cable type (CAT5, CAT6, or BNC) and then select Calibration (Calibration).

4. Adjust the result if needed and press the OK button (8) to save the data.

For more precise results, it is recommended to calibrate the device on a cable with a known length from the same manufacturer.
