Using Polling Transmission

Select [Polling Box] on the Home screen.

Place the originals.

Display the screen.

Select [Store File].

Select the type of originals, scanning density, etc., as necessary.

The table below lists the items to be set.

Function Description

Original Orientation

To ensure that the originals are stored in the correct

orientation, this indicates the orientation of the

original document top edge. To use the following

functions, select the orientation of the originals.

•Duplex

• Border Erase/Full Scan

Border Erase/Full Scan Scans originals with the black frame around the

outside of the originals erased.

Original Size Specify the original size to be scanned. Be sure to

always specify the original size when using

custom size original.

Original Image Select the image quality according to the original

image type.

Continuous Scan Allows you to divide originals that cannot be

placed in the document processor at one time

into multiple scans and then store the result as a

single file. With this function, originals continue to

be scanned until you select [Finish Scan].

File Name Entry Allows you to rename the files created from

scanned originals. You can also use this function

to add the job number and/or date.

Density Adjusts the density used for scanning originals.

Duplex Select the type and binding of originals.

Scan Resolution Chooses the level of detail used for scanning

originals.

Clarify Text (Noise Removal) When scanning and sending a document in black

and white, it eliminates background noise and

improves the legibility of the text.

Long Original Allows you to use the document processor to scan

overlength originals (documents that are long in

the feed direction).

Job Finish Notice Sends a notice by an e-mail when a scanning is

complete.
