Speciﬁ cations for smooth surfaces such as PMMA (plexiglas

PF hard ﬁ bre (Resitex) and worktops, not for MDF or similar

materials.

The holding force may decrease by up to 20% over the course

of the years. Values relate to a vacuum of 85% (150 mbar end

pressure) and include a safety factor of 2.

4 Intended use

The vacuum clamping unit VAC SYS SE is designed

for clamping objects with ﬂ at, smooth, airtight

surfaces in combination with vacuum pump

VAC SYS VP.

The user bears the responsibility for damage and

accidents caused by improper use.

5 Safety instructions

5.1 General safety instructions

- Before using the device, carefully read the safety

instructions, these operating instructions and

the operating manual accompanying the vacuum

pump VAC SYS VP all the way through. Keep all

of the accompanying documents and pass on if

the device changes ownership.

- Never allow children to use the device.

- Before using the device, make yourself sufﬁ -

ciently familiar with the procedures for using,

setting and operating the device.

Keep the working area clean and tidy. Untidy,

unlit working areas may lead to accidents.

- Never operate the device in a potentially explo-

sive environment containing ﬂ ammable ﬂ uids,

gases or dust. Electric motors generate sparks

that may ignite dust or vapours.

- Pay special attention to how you handle the

device and always proceed with care. Do not

use the device when you are tired or under the

inﬂ uence of drugs, alcohol or medication. One

moment of carelessness during operation can

cause serious injuries.

- Always use the device, accessories, etc. in

accordance with these instructions and the

instructions accompanying this special device.

Also take into account the working conditions

and the job in hand. Using the device for appli-

cations other than those speciﬁ ed may create

hazardous situations.

- When not in use, keep equipment out of the reach

of children. Personnel should not be allowed to

use the device if they are not familiar with it or

have not read these instructions. Equipment or

machines operated by inexperienced personnel

may pose a serious health hazard.

- Maintain the device with care. Check whether
