WARNING! BEFORE USING THE WELDING MACHINE READ
THEINSTRUCTIONMANUALCAREFULLY.
ARC WELDING MACHINES FOR COATED ELECTRODES (MMA)
FOR INDUSTRIAL AND PROFESSIONAL USE.
Note: In the following text the term “welding machine” will be used.
1.GENERALSAFETYCONSIDERATIONSFORARCWELDING
The operator should be properly trained to use the welding
machinesafelyandshouldbeinformedabouttherisksrelated
toarcweldingprocedures,theassociatedprotectionmeasures
andemergencyprocedures.
(Please refer to the applicable standard “EN 60974-9: Arc
weldingequipment.Part9:InstallationandUse).
- Avoid direct contact with the welding circuit: the no-load
voltagesupplied bythe weldingmachine canbe dangerous
undercertaincircumstances.
- When the welding cables are being connected or checks
and repairs are carried outthewelding machine should be
switchedoffanddisconnectedfromthepowersupplyoutlet.
- Switch off the welding machine and disconnect it from the
powersupplyoutletbeforereplacingconsumabletorchparts.
- Maketheelectricalconnectionsandinstallationaccordingto
thesafetyrulesandlegislationinforce.
- The welding machine should be connected only and
exclusivelytoapowersourcewiththeneutralleadconnected

- Donotweldoncontainersunderpressure.
- Removeallammablematerials(e.g.wood,paper,ragsetc.)
fromtheworkingarea.
- Provide adequate ventilation or facilities for the removal of
weldingfumesnearthearc;asystematicapproachisneeded
inevaluatingtheexposurelimitsfortheweldingfumes,which
will depend on their composition, concentration and the
lengthofexposureitself.
- Keep the gas bottle (if used) away from heat sources,
includingdirectsunlight.
- Useadequateelectricalinsulationwithregardtotheelectrode,
theworkpieceandany(accessible)earthedmetalpartsinthe
vicinity.
This is normally achieved by wearing gloves, shoes, head
coverings and clothing designed for this purpose and by
usinginsulatingplatformsormats.

the skin to be exposed to the ultraviolet and infrared rays
producedbythearc;other people in the vicinityofthearc
shouldbeprotectedbyshieldsofnon-reectingcurtains.
- The ow of the welding current generates electromagnetic
elds(EMF)aroundtheweldingcircuit.
Electromagnetic elds can interfere with certain medical
equipment (e.g. Pace-makers, respiratory equipment, metallic
prosthesesetc.).
Adequate protective measures must be adopted for persons

2.INTRODUCTIONANDGENERALDESCRIPTION
This welding machine is a power source for arc welding, made
specically for direct current (DC) .
The specic characteristics of this regulation system (INVERTER),
i.e. high speed and precise regulation, mean the welding machine
gives excellent results when welding both with coated electrodes
