ABNORMALITIES
MAINTENANCE
Prior to the maintenance of the apparatus, disconnect the apparatus from the mains
by pulling the plug out of the socket.
In case of operation in accordance with the instructions, the apparatus does not require any special
maintenance. Motor bearings have grease filling which will ensure proper lubrication for them for 1500
hours run. In case of risk of frost, the pump must be bled, with the suction pipe also included. If the
production of the pump decreases, then probably it is caused by the damage of the impeller. If the
impeller is cracked, broken or there is internal slackness on the shaft, then the impeller must be re-
placed.
The pressure switch will switch off and on the apparatus, so it does not need any handling. If the ap-
paratus is installed in a place where human supervision cannot be provided (e.g. week-end garden),
then the apparatus must be disconnected from the mains when leaving.
After longer standstill (e.g. winter stoppage), act in accordance with the instructions of the section
“Start-up” prior to the start-up. It may occur that the air escapes from the tank because of the failure
of the valve. In such a case, the pump will switch on already after running off 1-2 litre water and stop
soon. In this case, act as follows:
Disconnect the apparatus from the mains by pulling the plug out of the socket.
Open one tap on the user side.
When no water is already flowing from the open tap, then close it and pump the air of the tank to
the value specified in the “Technical data” through the valve.
CIRCUMSTANCES EXCLUDING THE GUARANTEE
Expiry of the guarantee period.
Correction in the letter of warranty or the data table.
Forced action, broken, cracked parts.
Obstructions, heavy wearing as a result of pumping contaminated, sandy, thick water.
Incorrect connection to the mains, improper use.
If the motor is flooded by water (e.g.: in the shaft)!
DISPOSAL OF SUPERSEDED ELECTRIC AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES AS WASTE
(To be used in the selective waste collection system of the European Union and other
countries)

works directly in the well. The foot valve and the suction basket must be assembled onto the lower
end of the suction pipe with seal (junk or Teflon seal). The condition of the seal is very important be-
cause in addition to the weight of the water column, the pressure in the tank will also take effect on
the foot valve. The funnel used for filling up the pump must be installed in the delivery pipe with isolating
cock. Connect the delivery pipe to the 1” discharge flange of the apparatus, using flexible length of
pipe if possible. The sealing of the pipe connections must be made with great care by using sealing
material (Teflon cord, Teflon band).
The warming up of the water may occur for the following reasons:
Improper installation (suction side escapes, the pump may suck air)
Water deficiency in the suction pipe (the water level of the well has decreased, the foot valve does
not reach minimum 30 cm below the water level, the suction depth exceeds the suction capacity of
the pump)
Improperly adjusted switch-off value of the pressure switch (The maximum pressure of the pump
depending also on the circumstances of the installation must be at least 0.5bar greater than the ad-
justed switch-off value.)
Simultaneously with the above, closed delivery side (The pump is working continuously but it cannot
increase the pressure of the water to the switch-off value set on the pressure switch.)
Failure of the pressure switch
Start-up
During the everyday use (automatic mode), proper measures are to be taken for the premises
not to get damaged as a result of the deluge in case of a possible failure of the apparatus.
When starting up, fill up the pump and the suction pipe with water first. It can be done after screwing
off the cap screw found on the top of the pump, or through a filling funnel which is to be installed in the
delivery pipe following an isolating cock. Perform the filling-up until the air bubbles disappear, then
close the filling-up opening.
Connect the plug of the apparatus to the mains (see the safety rules)!! When switching on the switch
found on the terminal box of the pump, the pump will start and begin to supply water. In case of closed
delivery duct, when the pressure in the tank reaches the switch-off value, the pump will automatically
switch off. In case of water consumption, the pressure in the apparatus will decrease, thus reaching
the switch-on value; then the pump will start up and operate, until the pressure reaches the switch-off
value again. Switch-on and switch-off value can be set on the pressure switch of the apparatus (1.5-
1.7 bar). Have the adjustment made by an expert.
There is a thermal protection relay in the motor of the pump which will switch off the motor in case of
overheating but it will automatically switch on again after cooling down.
Attention: The hot water may cause injuries!
If the delivery side is closed and the pump is operating for a longer period (>10 minutes), then
the water found in it may get very warm. Disconnect the machine from the mains, and let the
pump and the water cool down. Do not switch on the machine unless all the faults are elimi-
nated.
