• See to it that the appliance is properly positioned to ensure a high stabili-
ty during its operation and make sure that no one can trip over the power cord.
• The appliance is not splash-proof.
• Do not store or operate the appliance outdoors.
• Store the appliance in a dry place inaccessible to children (pack the ap-
pliance).
Functional overview
Preliminary lter The preliminary lter removes large dust particles and
pollutants from the air, thereby protecting the secondary lter from severe
soiling and optimising its functionality. The preliminary lter can be vacuum-
cleaned when the need arises. Because the lter material becomes worn in
the course of time, the lter should be replaced at approximately 6-month
intervals.
HPP™ Filter System The HPP™ lter is the heart of the air purier. It
lters out viruses, bacteria, ne dust, pollen, dust mite excretions and mould
fungi from the room air. Its high efciency is ensured by the use of extremely
powerful magnetic elds.
Activated carbon lter The activated carbon lter is able to adsorb air-
borne gases (unpleasant odours or tobacco smoke) thereby ltering them
out of the air. Its capacity is nite therefore the lter should be replaced at
approximately 6-month intervals depending on the level of air contamina-
tion caused by unpleasant odours and tobacco smoke. Should it become
apparent, even before the end of the 6-month period, that the unpleasant
odours are no longer being adequately eliminated, this is a further indication
that the lter should be replaced.
Fragrance compartment The fragrance compartment eece may be
moistened with a few drops of fragrance (max. 1-2 drops). Viktor will then
give off the fragrance into the room air, generating an agreeable ambiance.
Please note: if used in excess, fragrances may attack and damage plastic.
Therefore, please add no more than 1-2 drops to the eece, and do not add
any more until the rst fragrance is used up . If in doubt, please wash out
and dry the fragrance compartment and eece.
Speed levels The air purier has 5 different speed levels for different ap-
plications:
Level 1 very quiet – e.g. for bedrooms overnight
Level 2 quiet – for bedrooms or smaller rooms
Level 3 for continuous daytime use in smaller rooms (25m
2
)
Level 4 for continuous daytime use in larger rooms
(up to 50m
2
), e.g. open-plan kitchen/living room
Level 5 high-speed – for quick air purication or
purication of heavily polluted air
Timer The appliance switches off automatically after 2, 4 or 8 hours as
you wish. Ideal for air purication when you leave the home but would like
to have the air puried in your absence. The appliance can also be used
without the timer and is suitable for continuous operation.
Night mode Today, many appliances incorporate LED lights which are un-
suitable for night-time use in a bedroom. In night mode, the light intensity is
reduced to a pleasant level.
Preparation for use/operation
1. Place the Viktor air purier on a at surface in the desired area. Plug the
adaptor (3) into a suitable electric socket.
2. Open the appliance on the back side (by pressing on the labeling «Push to
open»). Remove the protective membrane from the activated carbon lter
