Electric hobs
 INSTALLATION
 Installation with cutlery drawer
If you wish to mount furniture
or a drawer under the hob, a separa-
tion board must be tted between the
two. Accidental contact with the hot
surface of the device’s housing is thus
prevented.
The board must be tted 20 mm
below the bottom hob cover.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Before you connect the hob to
the power supply, check that the volt-
age and frequency correspond to those
indicated on the hob nameplate, which
is underneath it or on the warranty card
or, if applicable, on the technical data
sheet, which you must keep together
with this manual throughout the prod-
uct’s service life.
 Electrical connection must be
made by means of an omnipolar switch
or plugs, if available, taking into ac-
count the current and minimum contact
spacing of 3 mm. This will ensure that
the hob can be switched off in emer-
gencies and that it can be cleaned.
 Only an authorised Kuppersberg
Technical Service should handle or re-
pair the appliance, including replace-
ment of the power cable.
Ensure that the inlet cable does
not come into contact with the stove
housing or the oven housing, if it is in-
stalled in the same unit.
 Warning: The electrical connec-
tion must be properly grounded, fol-
lowing current regulations, otherwise
the hob may malfunction.
 Unusually high power surges can
damage the control system (like with
any electrical appliance).
 Keep the Warranty Certicate or
the technical data sheet together with
the instructions manual for the entire
life of the product. These contain im-
portant technical information.
