15. Do not operate this appliance if the power cord or plug are damaged, or if the

appliance malfunctions or is damaged in anyway. Check the power cord regularly for

signs of damage/wear.

16. Do not open the lid whilst the kettle is boiling.

17. Do not fill the kettle above the MAX mark. Boiling water may splash out if

overfilled.

18. To avoid possible steam damage, turn spout away from walls and do not use

under cabinets.

19. The appliance contains no user-serviceable parts. This appliance is intended to be

used in household and similar applications such as: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices

and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels and other

residential type environments; bed and breakfast type environments.

PREPARATION FOR USE

1. Remove all packing from the kettle and its power base. Before using the kettle for

the first time, r if it has been out of use for a long time fill to the max mark and boil,

then discard the boiled water and rinse the kettle out with cold water.

2. Before connecting the appliance to the mains supply check that the voltage

indicated on the rating plate corresponds with the mains voltage in your home.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1. Always remove the kettle from the power base before filling.

2. Lift the lid.

3. Fill the kettle between the MIN and MAX marks on the water level indicator with

cold water.

4. Replace the lid and place the kettle back on the power base. Make sure the lid is

securely fitted on the kettle before boiling.

5. Position the kettle on the power base.

6. Plug the power base into the power outlet and switch on at the mains.

7. To start boiling press the ON/OFF switch to the down position.

8. The power indicator will illuminate and the kettle will start to boil. NEVER REMOVE

THE LID DURING BOILING.
