Installation and regulation
of power tool elements
Before carrying out any works on the power tool it
must be disconnected from the mains.
Do not draw up the fastening elements
too tight to avoid damaging the
thread.
Mounting / dismounting / setting-up of
some elements is the same for all power
tool models, in this case specic models
are not indicated in the illustration.
Additional handle (see g. 1-2)
Always use the additional handle 4 when operating�
Additional handle 4 may be positioned as deemed
comfortable by the user
[BH10-26 B, BH10-28 VB, BH12-28 VB, BH13-32 VB,
BH15-32 VB, BH15-36 VB, BH16-42 VB]
Loose additional handle 4 as shown in g. 1.1.
Place additional handle 4 in desired position (see
g. 1.2).
Tighten additional handle 4 as shown in g. 1.3.

Loose clamping nut 20 as shown in g. 2.1.
Place additional handle 4 in desired position (see
g. 2.2).
Tighten clamping nut 20 as shown in g. 2.3.
Depth stop (see g. 3-8)
Use depth stop 6 to set a required drilling depth (see
g. 3-8).

Press and hold retainer 16 (see g. 3.1, 4.1).
Move depth stop 6 to set a required drilling depth
(see g. 3.2, 4.2).
Release retainer 16 (see g. 3.3, 4.3).
[BH10-26 B, BH12-28 VB, BH13-32 VB]
Loose additional handle 4 as shown in g. 5.1, 6.2.
Move depth stop 6 to set a required drilling depth
(see g. 5.2, 6.2).
Tighten additional handle 4 as shown in g. 5.3, 6.2.

Slacken clamping screw 5 (see g. 7.1, 8.2).
Move depth stop 6 to set a required drilling depth
(see g. 7.2, 8.2).
Tighten clamping screw 5 (see g. 7.3, 8.2).

During the mounting of the tool please
prove that the dust protection casing 2 is
not damaged. In the case of damage the
dust protection casing 2 is to be replaced
immediately at the specialized DWT Service
Centre.
Borers SDS PLUS and SDS MAX, due to the
design peculiarities of chucks SDS PLUS
and SDS MAX, can move freely within a
certain range� This is why a radial run-out
appears at no-load idle running, which is automatically
centred at drilling. It does not inuence hole-drilling
accuracy
Before installing the borer (chisel), clean it and lubri-
cate the shank with a thin layer of oil�
When mounting borer (chisel):
move xing bush 3 back and hold it in this position
(see g. 9.1);
