Alkylate

CAUTION

Alkylate gasoline does not have the same density as normal gasoline. Consequently,

engines tuned for use with normal gasoline may require a different setting of the

carburetor if alkylate petrol is to be used. This operation must be entrusted to an

Authorized Service Center.

7.2 FILL-UP

WARNING

Follow the safety instructions given for handling fuel. Always switch off the engine

before refueling. Never attempt to refuel a machine when the engine is running or

still hot. Move to a distance of at least 3 m from the refueling area before starting

the engine. DO NOT SMOKE!

1. Shake the can containing the fuel mixture before proceeding to fill up the tank.

2. Clean the surface around the filler cap to avoid contaminating the fuel.

3. Loosen the filler cap slowly.

4. Exercise care when pouring the fuel mixture into the tank. Avoid spillage.

5. Before replacing the fuel filler cap, clean and check the seal.

6. Refit the fuel filler cap immediately, screwing hand tight. Wipe away any spilled fuel.

WARNING

Check for fuel leaks, and if any are found, take corrective action before using the

machine. If necessary, contact an Authorized Service Center.

7.3 OIL FILLING AND CHAIN LUBRICATION

The chain is lubricated by means of an automatic pump which does not require maintenance.

The oil pump is calibrated by the manufacturer to provide the sufficient amount of oil even in

severe working conditions. Any oil drips when cutting thin timber are to be considered normal.

• Before each refueling, clean the area around the cap (13, Fig. 2) so that no impurities enter

the tank.

• While working, visually check the level of available oil.

• After topping up, run the engine idle 2 or 3 times in order to restore the correct oil delivery.

• In the event of a fault, do not intervene, but contact your authorized dealer.

Proper lubrication of the chain during the cutting phases minimizes wear between the chain

and the bar, ensuring a longer life. Always use good quality oil.

WARNING

Using recycled oil is prohibited! Always use biodegradable lubricant (eco-lube Oleo-

Mac / Efco) specific for bars and chains with the utmost respect for nature, the

health of the operator and the life of the chainsaw components.
