10.5 AIR FILTER

Turn the knob (A, Fig. 22), remove the cover (B) and the filter (C), acting on the tabs (E). Check

the air filters (C) and (D) daily. Clean with Emak degreaser code 3355006, rinse with water and

blast dry with compressed air blowing from the inside outwards. Renew the filters if heavily

clogged or damaged.

10.6 FUEL FILTER

Check the condition of the fuel filter periodically. If excessively dirty, the filter should be

replaced (Fig. 23).

10.7 OIL PUMP (AUTOMATIC ADJUSTABLE)

The flow rate is factory preset. The oil delivery can be varied by the operator, as needed,

through the appropriate setscrew (Fig. 27). Oil flow occurs only with the chain in motion.

WARNING

Never use waste oil.

10.8 STARTER ASSEMBLY

Keep the cooling slots of the starter assembly casing free and clean with a brush or compressed

air.

10.9 ENGINE

Clean the cylinder fins periodically with a brush or compressed air.

CAUTION

If dirt is allowed to build up on the cylinder it could cause overheating and impair

engine performance.

10.10 SPARK PLUG

Regularly clean the spark plug and check the electrode gap (Fig. 24).

Use a TORCH L6RTF spark plug or other brand of equivalent thermal grade.

10.11 CHAIN BRAKE

If the chain brake does not work properly, remove the chain guard and thoroughly clean the

brake components. When the chain brake band is worn and/or deformed, replace it.

10.12 CARBURETOR

Before adjusting the carburetor, clean the deflector shroud, the air filter (Fig. 22) and run the

engine until warm.
