10.3. PROCEDURE FOR CONNECTING
HEATLINE® DOUBLE-CORE WIRE
UNDERFLOOR HEATING MAT
TO THE THERMOSTAT
To properly connect a double-core wire heating
mat to the thermostat, the lead should be brought
into the thermostat housing.
Before a heating unit is connected to the thermostat,
make sure that the leads are tagged and labeled (Figure
А4).
Power wiring labeled "N" and "L" is connected to the ca-
ble core and is powered up to the thermostat terminals:
N1-zero; L1-phase.
Power wiring labeled "PE" is connected to the cable
screening braid. Both wires get connected to the exist-
ing earth loop.
11. HEATLINE® UNDERFLOOR HEATING
MAT SWITCH CONNECTION AND
OPERATION®
The Heatline Underfloor Heating Mat can be switch
connected only after the brick glue gets fully dried.
Drying of screed coating and brick glue with the
Heatline® Underfloor Heating Mat is strictly prohibited!
Switch on the thermostat and give it a desirable heating
level. When switching on the Heatline® system for the
first time, the heated floor feeling may appear after a
significant time period. Don’t worry and let the system
fully heat the floor surface which usually takes 72 hours.
12. SAFETY
To introduce any changes in the mat structure,
with the exception of cutting mesh, when placing,
shall not be allowed.
To change the lead wires at your discretion, breaking
connections in the manufactured coupling shall not
be allowed.
To introduce any changes in the thermostat
structure at your discretion shall not be allowed.
To hook up the rolled heating to the mains shall
not be allowed.
To hook up the heating mats, whose voltage does
not comply with the operational voltage mentioned
in the heating mat user's manual, labels or packaging,
shall not be allowed.
To carry out works on thermostat installation and
repairs without switching off the voltage shall not
be allowed.
The connection of the system should be carried
out by a trained electrician.
To use heating mat without a minimum layer of
brick glue that fully covers the heating cable shall
not be allowed.
The heating mats should be filled carefully and
evenly, spreading the adhesive solution for tightening
the tiles throughout the surface, avoiding air void
formations around the heating cable.
Nails, studs should not be hammered or nailed and
self-tapping screws should not be threaded into the
floor surface, under which the heating mat is installed.
When any of the above happens, the manufacturer de-
nies all liability!

and configuration, which degrade the end-user
performance and item characteristics, without
prior notification.
