as well as cutting depth adjustment�

Using special saw blades enables you to cut plastic

Installation and regulation

of power tool elements

Before carrying out any works on the power tool it

must be disconnected from the mains

Do not draw up the fastening elements

too tight to avoid damaging the thread�

Mounting / dismounting / setting-up of

some elements is the same for all power

tool models, in this case specic models

are not indicated in the illustration�

Mounting / dismounting parallel guide (see g. 1)

Fig� 1 shows parallel guide 14 mounting / dismounting

operations�

Replacement of the saw blade (see g. 2-5)

After prolonged operation, the saw blade

can become very hot, remove it using

gloves. This will also reduce the risk of

injury by the cutting edge.

• Mount power tool on the side end of the motor as

shown in g. 2-4.

• Press down spindle lock 19 and rotate saw blade 3

manually in order to lock it in a xed position. While

pressing down spindle lock 19, unscrew bolt 4 with the

help of wrench 22�

• Use lever 16 to turn sliding guard cover 15 clockwise

against the stop�

• Remove washer 25 (HKS18-75 and HKS18-85

only), external ange 5, saw blade 3, internal ange 24

and spacing washer 23 �

• Clean all xing elements with a soft brush and

mount spacing washer 23, internal ange 24,

saw blade 3, external ange 5 and washer 25

(HKS18-75 and HKS18-85 only) on the spindle, screw

in bolt 4 manually�

Attention! observe the following rules during in-

stallation:

• follow the mounting sequence (see g. 5); avoid

bending during mounting;

• before mounting saw blade 3, make sure that the

mounting opening diameter ts the diameter of the

projected parts of internal ange 24;

• arrow direction marked on saw blade 3 should co-

incide with arrow direction on guard cover 2;

• mount external ange 5 with bevel edge outwards�

• Put sliding guard cover 15 to its initial position�

• Press and hold spindle lock 19 and tighten bolt 4

with wrench 22� Release spindle lock 19�

Use of saw blades of different seating diameters

(see g. 6)

The power tool enables the operation of saw blades of

two different seating diameters (see power tool speci-

cation table). Internal ange 24 has projected parts

at both side ends (different diameters), used to pivot

saw blade 3� If saw blade 3 of other diameter is re-

quired, turn over internal ange 24 during installation

(see g. 6).

Regulation of body vertical position (see g. 7, 11)

[HKS18-75, HKS18-85]

• Loosen xing screws 9 (see g. 11).

• Put the body vertically�

• Tighten xing screws 9�

• Use lever 16 to turn sliding guard cover 15 clockwise

against the stop�

• Place the sides of an alignment setsquare 90° to the

surface of saw blade 3 and base plate 11 (see g. 7).

If the setsquare sides join the surfaces of saw blade 3

and base plate 11 tightly, then alignment is not needed,

otherwise you have to adjust the position by bolt 26

and lock-nut 27�

• Loosen xing screws 9�

• Loosen lock-nut 27�
