English
Turning the bolt 26 in or out, make the sides of
the 90° setsquare join the surfaces of saw blade 3 and
base plate 11 tightly
Holding bolt 26, tighten lock-nut 27
Initial operating
of the power tool
Always use the correct supply voltage: the power sup-
ply voltage must match the information quoted on the
tool identication plate.
Switching the power
tool on / off
Switching on:
In order to switch on the power tool, push lock-off but-
ton 6 and while holding it in position, push switch but-
ton 7
Switching off:
In order to switch off the power tool, release switch
button 7
Dust suction during
the power tool operation
Dust suction allows reducing dust concen-
tration in the air and prevents its accumula-
tion at the workplace
While operating the power tool, always use a
vacuum cleaner suitable for collecting process-gener-
ated dust A special adapter is used to join the vacuum
cleaner to coupler 1
Recommendations
on the power tool operation
Cutting depth setting (see g. 8)
Before starting the operation, adjust sawing depth de-
pending on the work piece thickness The best cutting
edge quality is achieved when the projected part of
saw blade 3 does not exceed tooth height
Loosen xing lever 21 (see g. 8).
Set required sawing depth on scale 20, lifting or low-
ering the power tool body
Tighten xing lever 21
Cutting angle setting (see g. 9-11)
The power tool enables smooth cutting angle adjust-
ment within 0°- 45° range
Loosen:
xing wing nut 28 for HKS12-54, HKS12-63,
HKS15-65 (see g. 9-10);
two xing screws 9 for HKS18-75, HKS18-85
(see g. 11).
Set required cutting angle on scale 8, changing pow-
er tool body inclination angle
Tighten:
xing wing nut 28 for HKS12-54, HKS12-63,
HKS15-65;
two xing screws 9 for HKS18-75, HKS18-85
Remember that during inclined cutting
the cutting depth shown on scale 20
does not correspond with actual values.
Cutting marks (see g. 12)
Cutting mark 13 shows saw blade 3 position during
vertical cutting (see g. 12).
Cutting mark 12 shows saw blade 3 position during
cutting at 45° angle (see g. 12).
Make trial sawing to avoid errors.
Sawing (see g. 13)
The efciency and the quality of cutting
operations depends on the state and
the form of saw blade 3 teeth, there-
fore proper selection of saw blade is
extremely important depending on the material
being processed and the type of works being per-
formed.
Make sure that the work piece is safely xed face
down, because the quality of bottom cutting edge is
always better
Switch on the power tool before saw blade 3 touch-
es the work piece Let saw blade 3 gain maximal rotat-
ing speed
Smoothly move the power tool forward without
bending or pushing
Never press the tool - sawing requires certain time
Extra pressure will overload the power tool rather than
facilitate the operation
Use additional supports when cutting large sheets
(chipboards, etc) to avoid bending and possible saw
blade 3 blocking (see g. 13).
Cutting with parallel guide (see g. 14)
Parallel guide 14 enables cutting along existing direct
work piece edge, and producing equally wide stripes
Loosen xing screw 10 of parallel guide 14 (see
g. 14).
Move parallel guide 14 to set a required work piece
width
Tighten xing screw 10 of parallel guide 14
Power tool maintenance /
preventive measures
Before carrying out any works on the power tool it
must be disconnected from the mains
Cleaning of the power tool
An indispensable condition for a safe long-term exploi-
tation of the power tool is to keep it clean Regularly
ush the power tool with compressed air thought the
ventilation slots 17
