Start-up

5.4 Mounting the transport frame on the

shredder (06)

1. Turn the shredder around.

2. Slide (06/a) the transport frame (06/1) into

the holes of the housing (06/2).

6 START-UP

DANGER! Danger of injury from dam-

aged components! Damaged components can

lead to serious and even fatal injuries!

Before putting into operation, carry out a vi-

sual inspection and check the components

for function.

WARNING! Risk of injury due to negli-

gence! Negligence in handling the machine can

result in serious injuries!

■

Only use the shredder on firm, level ground

and in a stable position. Do not tilt or incline

the machine during operation.

■

Comply with working time regulations in force

in your country.

■

Do not route the extension lead over the hop-

per or under the discharge opening.

■

Before starting, ensure that the feed chute is

clear.

7 OPERATION

WARNING! Danger of serious injury!

There is a risk of serious injuries for children, per-

sons with impaired physical, sensory or mental

abilities, persons with insufficient knowledge and

experience and persons who are not familiar with

the operating instructions.

■

Never permit the above persons to use the

machine.

■

Always observe the local regulations con-

cerning the age limit for users.

7.1 Connecting the mains plug

1. Connect the mains cable of the shredder

(01/11) to an extension lead.

2. Check that the extension lead is connected

securely.

3. Then connect the extension lead to the mains

voltage.

7.2 Switching on the motor (07)

IMPORTANT! Damage to the machine due to

improper operation! Incorrect handling can re-

sult in machine damage!

Only feed in material to be shredded once

the appliance has already been switched on.

■

Do not feed in any further material to be

shredded after the appliance has been

switched off.

1. Press the On switch (07/1).

7.3 Switching off the motor (07)

1. Press the Off switch (07/2).

7.4 Releasing a cutting disk blockage

WARNING! Risk of injury due to lack of

concentration while working! Ejected parts can

cause very severe injuries!

Watch out for flying parts and keep your face

away from the feed chute.

CAUTION! Danger of crushing when

opening and closing the housing! Hand and

finger injuries may occur!

■

Beware of your hands and fingers when

opening and closing the housing.

NOTE When closing the housing, ensure

that the top part of the housing is correctly seated

in the cutouts of the lower part.

1. Switch off the shredder.

2. Disconnect the machine from the mains pow-

er supply.

3. Remove (08/a) the locking screw (08/1) and

remove (08/b) the housing (08/2).

4. Remove the material causing the blockage.

5. Check the cutting disk and shredder blade for

damage.

6. Close the housing and tighten the locking

screw again.

7. Reconnect the machine to the mains power

supply.

8. Press the overload protection (07/3).

9. Switch on the shredder again.

If the blockage cannot be cleared, contact our

customer service.
