Connected navigation

Connected navigation is a wireless communication based navigation serv-

ice using updated map data and destination information obtained from the

oyota Smart Center. To use this service, it is necessary to enter a Toyota

Smart Center subscription contract.

● Displays updated map, obtained from the Toyota Smart Center, of the

area near your current location. During the route guidance, obtains up-

dated map of the area along the route.

● The Toyota Smart Center searches for the optimum route on a regular

basis, including while the route guidance is taking place, and proposes a

new route if more time-saving route to the destination is found.

Connected navigation (without built-in navigation system)

As the vehicle device does not have navigation map data, this service

displays temporarily stored map in areas where it is not possible to commu-

nicate with the Toyota Smart Center. Navigation functions, such as route

search, may not be able to be used in a poor communication environment.

INFORMATION

● When a T

oyota Smart Center subscription contract has not been entered, navi-

gation functions are not available, and the compass screen will be displayed.

● Temporarily stored map is available for square area of side approx. 80 km

(50 mile) centered around your vehicle and area along the route (when a

destination is set). If poor communication status persists for a certain period in

the area outside of the map stored area, the navigation functions will be limited

further, such as the map not being able to be displayed.
