11 How to install the monitor hardware

5. Connect the 12VDC power cable.

Take the 12VDC power adaptor cable and plug the end

into the socket labelled ‘POWER IN’ on the rear of the

monitor. Do not connect the power adapter to a power

point just yet.

6. Fit the (optional) Speaker unit.

If you have the optional Speaker unit, install it now by

following the Speaker Installation Guide.

7. Refit the cable cover.

Replace the cable cover over the cables.

8. Connect-to and turn-on the power.

Plug the power cable into the power adaptor and into a

power point and turn it on.

Turn on the monitor by pressing the power button

located at the top of the row of buttons on the right edge

of the monitor.

Turn on the computer too, and follow the instructions in

Getting the most from your BenQ monitor to install

the monitor software.
