Step 2: Download the latest
software
1 ConnectaUSBashdrivetoyour
computer.
2 OnyourPC,navigatetowww.philips.com/
support.
3 Findyourproductandlocatetheavailable
softwareanddrivers.
» Thesoftwareisavailableasaziple.
4 Acceptthelicenseagreement,andsavethe
ZIPleintherootdirectoryofyourUSB
ashdrive.
5 Usingthearchiveutility,extractthe
softwareupdatefoldertotheUSBash
drive.
» A*.binleisextractedundertheUPG_
ALL
directory.
6 DisconnecttheUSBashdrivefromthe
computer.
Step 3: Update the software
Caution
• Makesurethereisnodiscinthedisctray
beforeinsertingtheUSBashdriveintothe
USBslot.
• Duringthesoftwareupdate,donotswitchoff
thehometheaterorremovetheUSBash
drive.
• Ifthepowersupplygoesoffduringtheupdate,
donotremovetheUSBashdrivefromthe
hometheater.Starttheupdateprocessagain
fromthe[Setup]menu.
1 ConnecttheUSBashdrivetoyourhome
theater.
2 SwitchonyourhometheaterandTV,and
switchyourTVtothecorrectsourcefor
yourhometheater.
3 Press (Home).
4 Select[Setup],andthenpressOK.
5 Select[Advanced] > [Software Update] >
[USB].
Update your software
Philipsiscontinuallyimprovingitsproducts.To
makesurethatyourproducthasthelatestfeatures
andxes,updateitwiththelatestsoftware.After
youupdatethesoftware,recongurebasicsettings
foryourproduct.
Getsoftwareupdatesfromyourdealerorfrom
www.philips.com/support.
What you need
Beforeyouupdatethesoftware,makesurethat
youhavethefollowingitems:
• AUSBashdrivewith75MBoffreespace.
TheUSBashdrivemustbeFATorNTFS
formatted.DonotuseaUSBharddrivefor
thesoftwareupdate.
• AnarchivetoolthatsupportstheZIP
leformat(forexample,WinZip®for
Microsoft®Windows®,orStuft®for
Macintosh®).
Step 1: Check the current
software version
1 Press (Home).
2 Select[Setup],andthenpressOK.
3 Select[Advanced] > [Version Info.],then
pressOK.
» Thesoftwareversionisdisplayedina
screensimilartothefollowingillustration.
4 Ifthesoftwareversionislowerthanthe
versionavailableatwww.philips.com/
support,updatethesoftware.Otherwise,
youdonotneedtoupdate.
