Stator Continuity Test
Disconnect the magneto wiring harness connec-
tor. This connector is located between the ECM
and the throttle body.

Install the 3-PIN MAGNETO HARNESS ADAPTER
(P/N 529 036 016)
onto the magneto connector.
NOTE: D
o not connect the magneto harness
adapte
r to the vehicle harness connector.
Set multimeter to

Connect multimeter between each pair of YEL-
LOW wires.

STATOR CONTINUITY TEST
1. Connect adapter to magneto stator connector
2. Leave vehicle harness disconnected
Read resistance.

If any result is out of specification, replace stator.
Stator Insulation Test
Disconnect the magneto wiring harness connec-
tor.
