Philips HD 7853 Senseo [3/16] Cleaning the milk container unit

Cleaning the milk container unit

Pull up the lever and

remove the milk container

unit from the machine.

If you do not plan to froth

milk again straightaway,

rinse the milk container, the

milk container lid and the milk

tube under a hot tap within

30 min. after use.

For a reliable performance of the milk container unit and consistently good frothing results it is very important that

you clean it regularly and thoroughly.

1 If you do not plan to froth milk again straightaway, rinse the milk container unit within 30 min after use.

2 After the last use of the day, clean all parts of the milk container unit thoroughly.

Press the lid release lever, tilt

the milk container lid slightly

and pull it upwards off the

milk container.

Push back the steam inlet

and the steam tube, and

close the milk container

lid cover.

Open the milk container

lid cover.

Fasten the lid, slide the

milk container unit into the

machine and push down

the lever.

Pull the steam inlet forward

to open it. Then move it to

the right.

Pull the milk tube off the

milk container lid.

For thorough cleaning

after the last use of

the day: place all parts

opened and detached in the

dishwasher (recommended)

or use hot water with some

washing-up liquid.

Press button once

for 1 cup of black coffee.

Press button twice

for 1 cup of cappuccino.

Press button once

for 2 cups of black coffee.

Place one cup or two cups

under the spout openings.

Note: Make sure that the

cup tray cover is in place.

Tip: Pre-heat your cups with hot water to keep the coffee hot longer.
