The Channel Deployment Strategy in ZyXEL

Access Point, NWA5160N

ZyXEL enterprise WLAN controller, NXC5200, and access point, NWA5160N, can

or hundreds of access points, site survey is the key feature to install those access

points and optimize the channel deployment. Especially, IT administrator can utilitze

the function, dynamic channel selection(DCS) in ZyXEL NXC5200 to automatically

deploy the channel among access points(APs) reduce the management complexity.

There are two ways to implement the channel deployment through NXC5200. One is

dynamic channel selection (DCS), the other is design the group AP profiles and

manually assign AP profile to all managed APs after doing the site survey.

DCS Introduction

Dynamic Channel Selection is one of intelligent features in NXC5200. This function

can assign smartly assign the least noise channel for each managed AP to reduce the

co-channel interference, and other interferences. Also, this helps IT administrator to

save time and cost for site survey and can quickly implement the wireless

architecture in short time.

controller will be applied this DCS function and abort its initial channel setting
