5. PREPARATION AND OPERATION

Speaker placement

• Place the speakers symmetrically to the listener at least one meter away.

• Place MSS far away from monitors and TV sets, as insigniﬁcant image distortion in these

super-sensitive devices is possible.

MSS Connecting

Sven 120, Sven 150, Sven 170 Multimedia Speaker Systems can be connected to virtually any audio

source: DVD/CD, PC sound card, etc. (see connection diagram below).

• Before connecting, make sure that MSS is unplugged. Connect signal cable mini-jack 3,5 mm

built-in speaker to audio output of the sound source, for example computer, as shown in the

diagram below.

• Connect USB-connector to USB-port of PC (laptop or 5V DC power supply) via built-in USB-

cable.

• Set volume level to minimum by turning VOLUME +/- control wheel on the cable counterclock-

wise until it stops.

• Turn on PC power supply, turn on audio source.

• Adjust volume level by turning VOLUME +/- control wheel.

Notes:

• After ﬁnishing operation with MSS, mind to turn off the USB-cable from the PC, laptop USB

port or 5V DC power supply.

• To enhance sound quality, use Line-Out output of soundcard.
