Please read these use instructions carefully before use and
keep them for future reference.
Important
• Plug your appliance into an alternating current (~) outlet
only and make sure that your household voltage cor-
responds to the voltage marked on the appliance.
• This appliance must never be used near water (e.g.
a filled wash basin, bathtub or shower). Do not allow
the appliance to get wet.
• For additional protection, it is advisable to install a
residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual
operating current not exceeding 30 mA in the electrical
circuit of your bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.
• This appliance is not intended for use by children or
persons with reduced physical or mental capabilities,
unless they are given supervision by a person responsible
for their safety. In general, we recommend that you keep
the appliance out of reach of children.
• Avoid touching the hot parts of the product.
• When hot, do not place on surfaces that are not heat-
resistant.
• Do not wrap the mains cord around the appliance.
Regularly check the mains cord for wear or damage. If the
cord is damaged, stop using the appliance and take it to
an authorized Braun Service Centre. Unqualified repair
work can lead to extreme hazards for the user.
• The Braun Ceramic straightener should be used on dry
hair only.

4 On/off switch
5 Swivel cord with hanging loop
6 Ceramic coated, floating straightening plates
Getting started
• Place the appliance on a flat, level, heat-resistant surface
and plug it into a power socket.
• Turn on the appliance by sliding the on/off switch (4) to the
«on» position.
• The pilot light (3) illuminates to indicate that the appliance
is switched on and that the straightening plates (6) are
heating.
• After approximately 1 minute, the appliance is ready to use.
• Using the temperature dial (2), you can adjust the
temperature in 13 stages between «min» and «max».
