The cursor automatically advances to the next character field if you press a different key

for next character. If you need to enter consecutive characters from the same key, you

can either wait for the cursor to advance or use the Down( ) arrow key to move the

cursor forward manually.

Searching for a name in the phone book

a. Press Name (right soft key*.

b. Enter a name when LCD prompts “Name:” You can use Up( ) arrow soft key to

delete the last character entered. When completed, press Find (left soft key) to

search.

Note: To quickly find a name and phone number, key in the first letter of name, and/or

scroll to the name you want.

Note: Available Characters

To enter the letters of a name, press the corresponding keypad number one or more

times to display the desired character. A list of available characters and their orders

are as below. For example, press “2” once for the character “A”, twice for “B”, etc.
