TRIPOD CONNECTION

Many binoculars have a tripod thread built in. These binoculars can be screwed onto a tripod using an adap-

tor, which guarantees a static image.

COATING

Normal optical lenses reﬂ ect part of the light falling on them.

This causes a loss of light and a reduction in contrast due to light scatter.

Coating the lenses by steaming a reﬂ ection-reducing mineral layer onto them greatly reduces reﬂ ection and

increases light transmission (permeability).

This is a coating of 7 to 15 layers of ruby-coloured mineral steamed onto the objective lens. It increases

image contrast in sunlight, as the red spectrum is mainly ﬁ ltered out. However, the luminous intensity of

the instrument is reduced by approximately 7%. Fully coated binoculars let approximately 60% more light

through than uncoated ones. Special coatings (UV, multilayer) can be used to increase luminous intensity

even further.

Warranty and warranty term extension

The warranty term is two years from the date of purchase. Please keep your proof of purchase. Register

at www.bresser.de/warranty and ﬁ ll out a brief questionnaire to get your warranty term extended to ﬁ ve

years. Registration must be completed within three months of purchase (date of receipt) to validate the war-

ranty. If you register thereafter, the warranty term will not be extended. If you have problems with your device,

please contact our customer service ﬁ rst. Do not send any products without consulting us ﬁ rst by telephone.

Many problems with your device can be solved over the phone. If the problem cannot be resolved by phone,

we will take care of transporting your device to be repaired. If the problem occurred after the warranty ended

or it is not covered by our warranty terms, you will receive an estimate of repair costs, free of charge.

during transport. Also, please enclose your receipt for the device (or a copy) and a description of the defect.
