Star Pro 60 [15/17] Operation of laser radar detector
Do NOT mount behind windshield wipers, metal surfaces, ornaments, or mirrored
sunscreen glass, as these affect radar/laser signals.
Note: Tinted glass does not affect radar/laser signal reception.
Mount the unit in a leveled position
Avoid placing the unit in direct contact with windshield.
WINDSHIELD MOUNTING
Attach the suction cups to the bracket.
Push the bracket firmly onto the windshield.
Attach the detector to the bracket and check
the angle.
Plug power into the cigarette lighter then to
the detector.
DASHBOARD MOUNTING
To place the detector on the dashboard, find a
location where the unit has a clear level view of the
road. Clean the dashboard and the lower part of the
detector with damp fabric.
Remove paper backing from one side of the Velcro
fastener.
Attach the pad to the dashboard at your chosen
location and remove the other paper backing.
Attach the detector to the Velco fastener.
POWER CONNECTION
Your detector is designed to operate on most 12V DC negative ground vehicle electrical
system. The power cord provided with the unit has a cigarette lighter socket plug at one
end and a small connector on the other.
Insert the small connector into the jack on the right side of the unit.
Insert the other end into the cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle.
FUSE REPLACEMENT
If the detector does not operate when you turn it on, remove the power adapter from the
cigarette lighter or accessory outlet and carefully check the socket for debris. Also, check
the fuse in the adapter and your vehicles’ fuse box.
a) To replace the fuse, unscrew the top of the power adapter.
b) Remove and check the fuse to see if it has blown and then replace it.
OPERATION OF LASER/RADAR DETECTOR
A. POWER AND SELF-TEST
1. Rotate ON/OFF Volume Control Dial clockwise.
2. Each time you turn your Star PRO60 an automatic self-test sequence confirms that the
speaker and visual display are operational.
