30Chapter 7 . Camera and gallery
• Photos and videos synced from your computer.
• Photos and videos saved from messages, emails, or websites, as well as screenshots.
View photos in chronological order: On the Home screen, tap
Gallery, go to the Photos tab. Photos and
videos are automatically displayed in chronological order.
View photos by album: Go to the Albums tab to view photos and videos sort by albums. Photos and videos
are automatically added to the default folders, such as Burst, Screenshot, Panorama, Selfie, Video and so on. For
example, if you take a selfie, you can go to Selfie album to find your photos.
Manage photos and videos
Go to
Gallery, select a photo or a video and you can:
• Share: Tap
, choose a sharing method and follow the onscreen instructions to share your files.
• Edit: Tap
to edit the photo. (The feature is only available for photos in JPG/JPEG, BMP or PNG format.) For
more information, see Edit an image.
• Save as favorites: Tap
and the photo will be saved in the Favorites album.
• Delete: Tap
to delete the selected files.(You can also tap and hold a photo and tap to delete.)
Tap and hold a photo and you can:
• Share: Tap
, choose a sharing method and follow the onscreen instructions to share your files.
• Delete: Tap
to delete the selected files.
• Save picture as: You can set the selected picture as wallpaper or contact photo and more by tapping
->
Save picture as.
• Details: Tap
-> Details to view more information about the selected photo, such as file size, focal length
and more.
Edit an image
The Gallery application comes with powerful image editing tools that you can use to bring your photos to life.
Select an image you want to edit and tap
.
• Tap
and you can:
• Crop an image: Tap
and drag the dotted edges to crop the image to the desired size, then tap .
You can tap to choose a proportion.
• Straighten an image: Tag
to make a slight adjustment to the angle of the photo and crop the excess
part of the photo to maintain the original aspect ratio.
• Rotate an image: Tag
to adjust the angle of rotation.
• Add mirror effect: Tag
to create a mirror image of the photo.
• Tap
and you can add a filter.
• Tap
and you can adjust image parameters to make your image look more vivid.
