SAFETY MEASURES

When using electrical appliances, you should follow basic safety precautions to

reduce the risk of ﬁre, electric shock and injury to persons:

• Use only with corresponding voltage (220-240 V, 50 Hz).

• Make sure the socket where you plug it in the device is grounded.

• Never immerse the power cord with the plug, kettle or Power Base (6) into

water or any other liquid.

• Do not use the kettle in the bathroom or near any source of water. Do not use

it outdoors.

• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the Handle (3).

• Switch off and unplug the appliance from the power outlet when not in use,

before ﬁlling or emptying with water. Allow cooling before cleaning.

• Take when pouring, pour slowly, and do not overﬁll the kettle.

• Water can remain hot for a considerable time after boiling and can present a

scald hazard. Keep the kettle Power Base (6), and the mains lead away from

the edge of the table or work surface where it can accidentally catch on.

• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is use by or operated near

children or inﬁrm persons.

• Unplug the Power Base (6) from the wall socket when not in use, before repo-

sitioning and before cleaning. Allow the kettle to cool down completely before

cleaning and before storing away.

• Ensure that the Lid (2) is closed before switching the kettle on; otherwise, it

may not switch on.

• Check that the kettle is properly located on the Power Base (6) before switch-

ing it on.

• Do not switch on unless the kettle contains at least two cups of water, other-

wise you may damage it.

• Before switching on, make sure that in the kettle with sufﬁcient water (not

less than 0,5 L). Strictly prohibited to turn on kettle when water below the

minimum level, or if kettle is empty.

• Do not ﬁll about the «MAX» on Water Level Gauge (4) (1,7 L).

• Remove the kettle from its Power Base (6) before ﬁlling or pouring.

• Do not operate the appliance in the presence of explosive and on ﬂammable

liquid or fumes.
