appliance
2.1 Product description
The buffer cylinder vessel is delivered fully assembled.
The thermal insulation and temperature sensors have to
be fitted.
There are two types of buffer cylinder
(Æ Fig. 4, page 101).
Buffer cylinder
Logalux PR 500/750/1000-80
Logalux PR 500/750/1000-120
Solar buffer cylinder
Logalux PNR 500/750/1000-80 E(W)
Logalux PNR 500/750/1000-120 E(W)
Both types of cylinder are available with 80 mm PU
flexible foam thermal insulation or 120 mm polyester
fleece thermal insulation.
The buffer cylinder is made from steel and equipped with
a temperature-sensitive return feed.
A back boiler or solid fuel boiler can be integrated via the
connections for the boiler and heating circuits.
The Logalux PNR solar buffer cylinder additionally has a
connection for a solar thermal system and an electrical
immersion heater (Æ Fig. 4, page 101).

2.3 Correct use
Due to their large volume, the Logalux PR buffer cylinders
and Logalux PNR solar buffer cylinders are designed for
central heating backup.
These buffer cylinders may only be filled with heating
water and used in sealed heating systems. The cylinders
are not suitable for use with potable water.
The buffer cylinders can be used for indirect DHW
heating via a freshwater station.
2.4 Tools, materials and auxiliary
equipment
A pallet truck, forklift truck or crane is required for
transportation.
