SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR YOUR IRON
•
Check the mains voltage stated on the iron.
•
Unwind and straighten the power cord before use.
•
Switch on the iron by turning the temperature dial in clockwise direc
tion; pilot light glows.
•
Turn the temperature dial to the middle point of 1 dot, 2 dot, 3 dot
position.
•
Switch off the iron by turning the temperature dial in anticlockwise
direction when it is not in use, even for a short period of time. Turn the
temperature dial to “Min” position.
•
Disconnect the iron from mains supply outlet when filling water.
• Remove the water remained in the water tank.
• Use the selfcleaning function at least once a month.
• Clean the steam valve regularly.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR ALL ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES
•
Read carefully, save all the instructions provided with an appliance.
•
Do not allow children touch the iron or the power cord when ironing.
•
Do not use an extension power cord set unless competent authority
has approved it.
•
Do not leave the iron unattended when it is connected to a mains sup
ply outlet.
•
Do not add perfumed, vinegar or other chemical liquids into the water
tank, they can damage the iron seriously.
•
Do not use the iron when it is damaged or it works improperly.
•
Do not roll the power cord around the iron for storage until it has
cooled down completely.
•
Do not attempt to open the cabinets or dismantle any parts from the
iron; there is no serviceable parts inside.
•
Do not attempt to replace the power cord or any other parts by your
self; bring the iron to a service company or to the shop where you
bought it. Special tools are required for repair.
•
Do not immerse in water.

- First time ironing 1 remove any protective films or stickers from the sole plate and the cabinet 2 unwind and straighten the power cord 3 fill the water tank with tap water or distilled water see how to fill water 4 connect the iron to a suitable mains supply outlet 5 turn the temperature dial to 3 dot position pilot light glows 6 pilot light goes off when the required temperature is reached 7 turn the steam control self cleaning knob to this position 8 begin first time ironing with an old towel 9 when the water tank is empty and there is no more steam produced the preparation work is completed the iron is ready for proper use 4
- Hints for ironing 1 sort out the articles to be ironed according to the type of fabric this will minimize the frequency of temperature adjustment for dif ferent garments 2 test ironing a small area on the backside or inside the garment if you are unsure about the type of fabric start with a low tempera ture and increase gradually 3 wait for about three minutes before ironing heat sensitive fabrics temperature adjustment needs certain time to reach the required level no matter it is higher or lower 4 delicate fabrics such as silk wool velour etc are best ironed with an ironing cloth to prevent shine marks 4
