* “ESC ( R” is an ESC/P2 command to enter the EPSON REMOTE Mode. While in this mode,
no ESC/P or ESP/P2 commands will be recognized by the printer until the “ESC 00H 00H
00H” command is invoked to exit Remote Mode. See the Remote Mode section for more
information concerning SN - Set Paper Feed Sequence, ST - Set Printer State Reply, and other
Remote Mode commands. Also, the Remote Mode information in this Programming Guide only
pertains to the Fourth Series of Stylus COLOR ink jet printers.
Note, items in bold are either new or not included in the EPSON ESC/P Reference manual. See
the individual command sections of this Programming Guide for information.
