Keep the appliance away from children Use the kettle only with the base unit supplied and do not use the base unit for any other purposes Never remove the kettle from its base unit while in operation Switch the appliance off first Take care to close the lid properly before switching on Otherwise the appliance will not switch off automatically and hot water may overflow The kettle is intended for water heating only and is not to be used for any other liquids __________________________ BEFORE USE_________________ Remove all packing material from the kettle Before connecting of the kettle check that voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds the mains voltage in your home Place the filter Fill the kettle with cool water up to the MAX mark and boil it Empty the kettle The appliance is ready for use INSTRUCTION FOR USE FILTER PLACING Open the lid by pressing on the lid open button Place the filter between the two grooves near the spout at the front of the kettle Ensure that the filter is pressed down to the bottom of the grooves and fits correctly then close the lid NOTE Never leave the filter loose in the kettle Never remove the filter while the kettle contains hot water FILLING Remove the kettle from the base unit You can fill the kettle with water via the spout or opening the lid Do not fill with less than 0 5 liters of water below to MIN mark to prevent the heating element running dry while operating Do not fill with more than 1 7 liters of water up to MAX mark Avoid overfilling to prevent the water spilling out during the boiling process SWITCHING ON After filling your kettle with water place the kettle on the base unit Connect plug to power supply and press On Off switch The appliance will begin to operate and the indicator light will come on 3
