1.1.4. History command
Command line interface will save history command inputted by user automatically so that user
can invoke history command saved by command line interface and re-execute it. At most 100
history commands can be saved by command line interface for each user. Input “Ctrl+P” to
access last command, and “Ctrl+N” for next command.
1.1.5. Symbols in command
There are all kinds of symbols in command syntax which is not a part of command but used to
describe how to input this command. Table 1-2 makes a brief description of these symbols.

Vertical bars (|) means coordinate, together using with
braces ({ }) and square brackets ([ ]).
Square brackets [ ]
Square brackets ([ ]) mean optional elements.
For example:
show vlan [ vlan-id ]
Braces { }
Braces ({ }) group required choices, and vertical bars ( | ) separate the
alternative elements. Braces and vertical bars within square brackets
([{ | }]) mean a required choice within an optional element.
