- VIBRATION MONITOR
Patented system which constantly measures vibrations and signals any operating
faults that could break the pump.
Available on request on all e-SV
TM
electric pumps range.
Operating principle
The device measures the level of vibrations at five minute intervals. If the set limit* is exceeded at least three times
consecutively, the device switches to the “alarm” mode, reduces the measurement interval to two minutes and activates
the relative flashing signal. If the fault is temporary, the device automatically returns to the “normal” mode after
measuring at least one vibration value within the set limit*.
SPECIFICATIONS
• The device is fixed to the motor adapter of the e-SV
TM
pumps.
• The device features a flashing green light LED indicating that it is in the “normal” mode and that the battery is
sufficiently charged.
• It constantly measures the vibration level and assess the responses from the motor and pump during operation.
• If the set limit is exceeded*, the two red LED’s on the device flash to warn the user. This allows action to be taken
before a fault or damage occurs to the pump.
• Vibration limit* for tripping the alarm:
equal to twice the average vibration level during normal operation
with a minimum of 3,175 mm/s (to reduce the possibility of false alarms)
with a maximum of 12,7 mm/s (Hydraulic Institute Standard, ISO 10816)
• Measurement interval:
5 minutes when the device is in the “normal” mode.
2 minutes when the device is in the “alarm” mode.
• Power supplied by an internal lithium battery which cannot be replaced; when it goes flat, the entire device must be
replaced. Its lifetime varies (1-3 years) depending on the number of times it enters the “alarm” mode.
• Ambient temperature: maximum 90°C.
• Atmosphere: unsuitable for atmospheres containing acetic acid.
