1. Unscrew the filling plug (C) from the pump.
2. Close the shut-off valve (B).
3. Fill the pump housing with the pumped fluid via the filling plug connection until it overflows.
4. Spin the pump shaft over the motor shaft (impeller fan) several times when filling.
5. Close the filling plug (C).
6. Open the shut-off valve (B) completely.
Pay attention to the pump’s correct direction of rotation.
6.1.3 Ventilate
The pump can be ventilated via the vent plug when it is stopped.

6.1.4 Checking how easily the pump rotates
After longer idle periods, the pump must be checked for how easily it rotates while it is switched off and
free of tension.
Turn the pump shaft in the drive lantern by hand.

Remove the fan cover and turn the fan wheel manually in the motor rotation direction.
