ce container
This new conc ept of ice container is an exclusive
Merloni patent. The fact that they are situated on the
inner door of the freezer compartment ensures greater
ergonomics and c leanliness: the ice no longer c omes
into c ontact with the food placed inside the freezer
compartment; furthermore, the dripping of the water
during filling is avoided (a lid to cover up the hole after
filling with water is also provided).

For the preparation of food to be frozen, please con-
sult a specialized manual.
- Food that has be thawed, even partially, must not be
re-frozen: you must cook it in order to consum e it (within
24 hours) or to freeze it once again.
- When freezing fresh foods, rem ember that they should
not touch other previously frozen or deep frozen foods.
Place the food that you wish to freeze in the top com -
partment where the tem perature will fall below -18°C,
which is ideal for freezing food properly. Remem ber that
proper c onservation depends on the speed of freezing.
- During the freezing process, avoid opening the door of
the freezer.
- Freeze only the quantities (in kg) shown on the data
plate situated inside the refrigerator compartment.
- For the best conservation and defrosting, remem ber to
freeze sm all portions; this will ensure rapid and uniform
freezing. Mark pac kage with a desc ription of the con-
tents and the date it was frozen.
- In the case of power failure or breakdown, do not
open the freezer door. This will help m aintain the tem-
perature inside the freezer ensuring that foods are con-
served for at least 17 hours.
- Do not store full bottles in the freezer since they could
explode when they freeze. (Remember that liquids in-
crease in volume when frozen).
-If the room temperature remains below 14°C for an ex-
tended period of time the freezer will not reach the tem-
peratures required for storage, and storage life will be
shorter. In this case, frozen foodstuffs should be used within a
relatively short period of tim e.
In order to freeze and then thaw foods optimally, it is rec -
ommended that you divide food into sm all portions so that
they freeze quickly and uniform ly. The packages should be
clearly m arked with the c ontent and the date they were
frozen.
If it is required to store a large quantity of foodstuff, you may
easily take out c entral drawer, and plac e the food direc tly
onto the evaporator plate. Make sure that, after having in-
serted the load, the door c loses c orrec tly.
Super Mode:
this mode assures continuous com pressor op-
eration up to ac hievement of low temperatures, nec essary
for quick food freezing. After food freezing, the applianc e
should be switched over to a normal operation m ode.
In order to frost som e quantity of fresh produc e/food (no
more than half of the maximum pointed out on the door-
plate/ name board inside your refrigerator), put the produce
in the evaporator/freezing section (* * * * ) and switch on
mode of operation “
Super
” for 24 hours.
In order to frost m aximum (for your refrigerator) quantity of
fresh produce you should switc h on mode of operation
Su-
per
24 hours before produc e laying. Put the produc e in the
evaporator/freezing section (* * * *) and switch off m ode of
operation “
Super
” in 24 hours.
To remove the container from they housing, push the
container upwards and then pull it out. To put the c on-
tainer back in place, insert the top part into the spec ial
housing and, once in a vertical position, just let it drop
into plac e.
Instructions for use
Fill up the c ontainer with water via the special hole up to the
level indicated (MAX WATER LEVEL), taking care not to ex-
ceed it: inserting more water than is nec essary will lead to
the formation of ice which could obstruc t the exit of the ice
cubes. If you have used an exc essive amount of water, you
will have to wait until the ice has melted, em pty out the c on-
tainer and re-fill it with water.
Once you have filled the ice c ontainer up with water
through the hole indicated, turn it by 90º. Thanks to the con-
nected c ompartments, the water fills up with the special
cap and places the ice c ontainer in the inner door of the
freezer c ompartm ent.
Once the ice has form ed, all you need to do is to knock the
container against a hard surface so that the ice c ubes
come away from their housing and com e out of the sam e
hole used to fill the c ontainer with water. To make it easier for
the ice c ubes to c ome out, wet the outside of the container.
WARNING: every time you fill up the ice container with wa-
ter, m ake sure that the same is c ompletely empty and that
there are no trac es of ice left inside it.
The minimum time required for ice to form well is approxi-
mately 8 hours.
