- Pipe connections must be done from the side of the unit (refer
to the outlook drawing for the required piping diameters).
- Standard refrigerant charge of the EFR-JB evaporating unit is
based on combination with ECR-D units and 8m pipe length.
- The EFR-JB units are shipped with a R22 holding charge. For
normal operation, an additional charge of R22 is required to
reach the standard refrigerant charge.

3.3. Supply cooling water (for EUC-JB units only)
- Be sure to interlock so, that the compressor will not come into
operation unless the cooling water pump is operated. For this
purpose spare terminals 9 and 10 are provided in the
switchbox. Refer to the wiring diagram on the unit with regard
to the connection method.
- In case well water is used, operate the pump after opening the
water inlet and outlet valves.
- In case cooling tower water is used, operate the fan and pump
of the cooling tower after opening the water inlet and outlet
valves.

1. INTRODUCTION
The Daikin EUC-JB series are water-cooled air conditioners with
cooling only application for indoor installation. The standard
operation range of the EUC-JB units ranges from +15°C to
+48°C condenser water inlet temperature.
The Daikin EFV-JB series are air-cooled air conditioners with
cooling only application for indoor installation. The EFV-JB air
conditioners can be combined with the Daikin ERC-C* or ER-D*
condensing units. The standard operation range of the units
ranges from 19°CDB to 32°CDB indoor ambient temperature.
The Daikin EFR-JB series are air-cooled air conditioners with
cooling only application for indoor installation. The EFR-JB air
conditioners can be combined with the Daikin ECR-D condenser
units. The standard operation range of the units ranges from
19°CDB to 32°CDB indoor ambient temperature.
2. DESCRIPTION OF THE UNIT
- Wiring diagram: refer to the sticker on the unit
- Outlook drawing: refer to the outlook drawings at the end of this
manual. ( = service space)
3. INSTALLATION
All field wiring and components must be installed by a licensed
electrician and must comply with relevant European and na-
tional regulations.
The field wiring must be carried out in accordance with the wir-
ing diagrams.
Be sure to use a dedicated power circuit. Never use a power
supply shared by another appliance.
Ensure that a protective guard is installed in front of the air
outlet to prevent that the fan blades be touched. The protec-
tion must comply with relevant European and national regula-
tions.
