Automatic station search for FM
radio stations
After connecting the hi-fi system to the mains
power for the first time, the automatic station
search begins. It searches for radio stations and
can save up to 40 presets.
After the search, the demo mode is started au-
tomatically. This shows you the functions of the
hi-fi system. The demo mode can be interrupted
by pressing »STEREO 7«. The hi-fi system then
switches to preset 1.
Notes:

The hi-fi system first saves RDS stations and
then normal FM stations in ascending order
of frequency.

The automatic station search can also be in-
terrupted by pressing »8«.

Some RDS stations transmit an RDS time sig-
nal. If the selected RDS station transmits time
information, the time is updated automati-
cally, if you have set »CT« to »ON«. The » «
display flashes during updating and lights
up continuously once the time has been set.
This takes about five minutes.
Setting the time manually
The time can only be changed in standby mode.
1 To set the time in standby mode, press and
hold »PROG ¥« for about 2 seconds.
– Display: the time and day of the week.
2 Set the hour with »E« or »F« and confirm with
»PROG ¥«.
3 Set the minute with »E« or »F« and confirm with
»PROG ¥«.
4 Set the day with »E« or »F« and confirm with
»PROG ¥«.
– Display: »CT« lights up and »ON« flashes.
5 Switch on RDS time synchronisation by press-
ing »E« or »F« and confirm with »PROG ¥«.
– Display: the current time and the day of the
week.
Notes:

The time must be reset after a power cut or if
the mains plug is disconnected or updated
afresh using the RDS time synchronisation.

When you reconnect the hi-fi system to the
mains, the hi-fi system automatically syn-
chronises to the most recently selected radio
station.
Tuning and storing radio stations
After the initial set-up, you can tune radio sta-
tions.
Tuning radio stations automatically
The radio stations saved in the presets are over-
written.
1 Switch on the hi-fi by pressing »8«.
2 Press »RADIO« to select TUNER as the input
source.
– Display: »FM TUNER«.
3 Start the automatic search by pressing and
holding down »PROG ¥«.
– The hi-fi system first saves RDS stations and
then normal FM stations.
Notes:

Once the automatic search is finished, you
hear the radio station saved as the first pre-
set.

The automatic search can be interrupted by
pressing »STEREO 7«.
