BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Fill the reservoir to the 5 mark, and run the appliance without coee.
FILLING
1. Open the lid.
2. Fill with at least 2 cups of water, but not above the 5 mark.
3. Fit the permanent lter into the lter holder.
4. Put 1 scoop of lter-ground coee into the lter for each cup.
5. Close the lid.
6. Replace the carafe on the hotplate.
MAKING COFFEE
1. Put the plug into the power socket.
2. Press the button to start your coee maker. The light will come on.
3. Shortly afterwards, coee will start to drip into the carafe.
4. When it’s done, the hotplate will keep the carafe warm. After 40 minutes, the hotplate will switch o.
5. Press the button to stop your coee maker. The light will go o.
About 40 minutes after brewing nishes, the appliance will shut down.
Unplug, and let the appliance and carafe cool down fully before cleaning, or for about 10 minutes
before relling.
After about 40 minutes, chemical changes will aect the taste of the coee. It’s best to pour it away
and make a fresh pot.
A QUICK CUP
You can remove the carafe at any time. To prevent the lter holder overowing, replace the carafe on the
hotplate within about 20 seconds.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Unplug the appliance and let it cool.
2. Clean the outside surfaces of the appliance with a damp cloth.
3. Hand wash the carafe, permanent lter and lter holder.
4. With the lter holder oriented as shown in FIG A, lower it into the coee maker. The lid will not close
unless the lter holder is correctly tted.
5. Close the lid.
DESCALE REGULARLY
Descale the appliance at least monthly with a proprietary descaler. Follow the instructions on the package
of descaler.
Products returned under guarantee with faults due to scale will be subject to a repair charge.
RECYCLING

To avoid environmental and health problems due to hazardous substances,
appliances and rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries marked with one of
these symbols must not be disposed of with unsorted municipal waste. Always
dispose of electrical and electronic products and, where applicable, rechargeable and
non-rechargeable batteries, at an appropriate ocial recycling/collection point.
